In May, 18 of our clients and friends joined Clive, Myles and Martin for an action-packed tour around 'Motor Valley' in Italy.
This was a bespoke event, created in partnership with our tour manager Thomas Brimblecombe at Classic Grand Touring to include as many Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati landmarks as possible, as well as some extras including the Ducati and Pagani factories.
The group flew out to Italy on Tuesday and enjoyed a relaxing evening at the hotel.
Wednesday morning began with a tour around the Maserati Factory , followed by theStanguillini Museum then a break for lunch. The afternoon was spent at the newly openedEnzo Museum and ended at the Lamborghini Factory. Dinner was courtesy of theristorante Montana in Modena where the group were joined by some very special guests including Carlo Benzi - long time friend and accountant to Mr Ferrari. It was an honour to spend the evening in such distinguished company.
Thursday was an early start followed by a visit to the Ducati factory and museum before an exclusive viewing of the Panini Collection, a fantastic collection of Maserati's housed on a Parmesan Cheese farm. Lunch was at the famous Cavallino Restaurant opposite the Ferrari Factory gates followed by a tour around the factory itself. The day ended with dinner at Pavorotti's Ristorante Europa 92 - a fine culinary experience!
Friday was marginally more relaxed with a morning visit to the Schedoni leather works followed by a stop at a traditional Osteria which produced its' own Balsamic Vinegar - a short break from the world of the petrol-head! Afterwards, a trip to the amazing Pagani factory and a surprise visit to a private collection of very rare automobiles ensured that, for those going home today, the trip ended on a definate mechanical note.
For the remaining group who chose to stay on for the 'Mille Miglia Extension', Saturday was spent on the Futa Pass, with a relaxed lunch at the Passo della Futa watching what has got to be the most stunning procession of rare and interesting cars racing past. Then back to Modena to watch them come through the check point at the Enzo Museum. A finale dinner at the hotel finished off a wonderful trip to this beautiful part of the world.
