What an unbelievable weekend!! What fabulous cars. For Clive, entering for the first time the magic moments were attending Lord March’s Ball, completely over the top!! Typical of Clive, always the social animal!! Attending the drivers briefing before the race sitting next to Patrick Tambay sharing light hearted pre race comments, lining up on the grid and receiving a brief wave from Jochen Mass alongside, to a wet greasy track, drum brakes and butterflies on the start line which disappeared when the national flag was waved at the start of the race.
Many columns of press have been written on the event but all of us Clive, Tim, Myles and Martin will treasure our personal memories of a fantastic weekend.
Martin did us proud with all the logistical organization and Tim and Myles did a great job in preparing the 212 F1 car in a very short period of time. Still much to be done to get her running on top form. Just hope the driver can also raise his game next time!!
